Kinja'd!!!

The bumper didn’t have a good enough ground to the body so I had to add one.

Kinja'd!!!

The horn mounting post was convenient ground. Now to test it out.

Kinja'd!!!

Eureka! It lights!

Kinja'd!!!

Now I have to disconnect the battery and wire the switch and fuse in.

But after I’ve had some pizza.

I’m about to wire an LED Light bar and Power inverter to my truck. Maybe you could give me a quick hand here, while you’re on your pizza break?

I’m going to wire each positive wire to a set of fused auxillary switches that are built into the truck. For the negatives, do they need to be ran back to the battery or do they just need to be grounded?

Just grounded at the nearest suitable metal place

Just ground them. I would only bother running them back to the battery if you notice the other lights dim when you put them on, which would indicate a less than ideal ground (or a bad connection somewhere anyway).
